Whitesides are Recruiting

ACA Trainee Required for Accountants in Leeds

We are looking to recruit an ACA Trainee Accountant to join our office in Leeds in September 2017 (or earlier by agreement).

What to expect

As a trainee accountant, you will be given an insight in to a wide range of areas including financial and management accounts preparation, audit work(including Solicitors Accounts Rules Audits and Charities), tax planning, and personal and corporate tax work.

Alongside working day to day, you will study for your ACA exams, with a study package and training contract provided.  You will be given paid study leave and Whitesides will cover the costs of all courses and examinations for the first attempt.  You will also receive in house training in more practical areas to enable you to become a well-rounded and confident Chartered Accountant.

The benefits of training with a small firm

The major benefit if training with a small firm (compared with a medium or large firm) is the variety of work you will be involved with.  You will be the only ACA Trainee in the practice and will be involved in all areas of work the practice undertakes.  You will have exposure to a wide range of clients and industries and will build your own portfolio of clients over the course of your training.

In larger firms, trainees will often spend much of their training working in the Audit department.  However, audit work in a small firm would be just one aspect of your training.  You will find you tend to have a far larger client base as the time spent at each client tends to be far less than a larger firm.

You will also benefit from the involvement of the firms partner who will play a large role in your training and development.

We are looking for a mature, numerate and confident individual who has the flexibility to adapt to the wide variety of work.

Attributes required:
