Daniel Dufton
Director

Daniel qualified as an accountant in 2006 and spent the next 15 years working in Leeds-based practices, gaining extensive experience in audit, accounts and corporate finance. He joined Whitesides as a Director in 2021.

He advises owner-managed businesses on accounting, strategy and business growth, with a focus on practical advice and long-term client relationships.

Outside work, Daniel enjoys family time with his wife and three children, walking, following the NBA, attending concerts, and playing snooker and chess.

Sarah Greenwood
Director

As a Director, Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Sarah enjoys building strong relationships with clients and finding straightforward solutions to complex challenges.

Away from the office, life revolves around her toddler, who keeps her far busier than any hobby ever could.

Sarah's proudest achievement is almost winning the office Fantasy Football league in 2024/2025 season (not that she ever mentions it).

Adam Fox
Practice Manager

Adam is one of the longest serving members of the team, he has been answering phone calls, sending invoices and making cups of tea at Whitesides for over 10 years.

Outside of work he is a proud husband and dad of two. When he's not driving "Dad's Taxi" he can usually be found playing darts, next time you speak to him ask how many 180's he has hit!

Gita Patel
Accounts Manager

Gita has been part of the team for nine years, and during that time has trained and qualified as an ACA Chartered accountant before progressing to a Client Manager. She enjoys supporting a wide variety of clients.

When she’s not working, Gita is kept busy by her two small children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering new places to eat and making the most of weekend adventures.

Sean Rushton
Accounts Manager

Sean has worked in accountancy for over a decade and a half- most of that with Whitesides. He has a keen interest in technology and is our resident spreadsheet guru - he even has a plaque on his desk which says so (so it must be true!).

Sean is a new father who loves gaming- boardgames, videogames or physical games, all are good to him. You can probably find him performing in a local musical.

Reece Mayer
Accounts Manager

Reece has been at Whitesides for over 5 years, starting as a trainee straight out of University. Reece specialises in looking after companies.

Outside of work Reece enjoys socialising with his friends, going on long walks, skipping and holding hand with his girlfriend, and enjoys playing darts with Adam at lunchtime.

Sophie Hay
Accounts Manager

Sophie started with us in 2022, fresh out of finishing her maths degree at the University of Southampton.  She has since completed her qualification with us to become an ACA qualified accountant and has now progressed internally to the role of client manager. 

When she isn't busy with numbers, Sophie can be found in the gym or on a netball court coaching, umpiring and playing (when she's not injured). Sophie's life also revolves around her cocker spaniel, Milo, who she loves to show everyone photos of.

Sarah Dunn
Accounts Team

Sarah is a semi senior accountant and bookkeeper, with experience supporting a wide range of clients across bookkeeping, accounts preparation and day-to-day financial management. She enjoys building strong client relationships and helping businesses stay on top of their financial affairs through practical and reliable support.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys attending live music events, travelling and walking her dog.

Maddie Flaherty
Accounts Team

Maddie is an ACA Trainee Accountant who enjoys working with a wide range of clients and helping them with their accounts and tax affairs. She is currently studying towards becoming a Chartered Accountant while gaining experience across accounts, bookkeeping, and tax.

Outside of work, Maddie enjoys keeping active. When she's not at work or out running, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and is always looking forward to her next challenge.

Alethea Morton
Accounts Team

Alethea is the office hero, while she currently is studying for her Level 4 AAT, she looks after company accounts and management accounts, but also knows how to do bookkeeping, payroll, tax, company admin and how to do Adam's job! 

Away from her desk Alethea has a busy home with a pre-teen and ultra marathon running husband, but enjoys running and spending time with her large family, earlier this year she also completed a 13 mile trek in the Lake District to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society (I said she was a hero!).

Sam Wilkinson
Accounts Team

Sam joined us in 2026, having previously worked as a sheep farmer, he is currently Level 2 AAT trained and working towards his Level 3. Sam is a valued member of the accounts team and looks after bookkeeping & VAT returns too.

When he's not at work Sam enjoys meeting up with his mates, watching football and visiting local gardening centres, he is our very own Alan Titchmarsh!

Matteo Clark
Accounts Team

Matteo is also studying towards his AAT qualification, and does work with accounts and bookkeeping.

Outside of work he is a keen Golfer, and can often be found searching the bunkers and bushes of Yorkshire courses looking for his ball.

Dylan Horne
Accounts Team

Dylan is Whitesides' newest member of the team, he joined us fresh out of college in 2026 and will be starting his AAT Apprenticeship with us.

In his spare time Dylan enjoys training and taking part in Mixed Martial Arts, he also enjoys train spotting and supports Manchester City!

Cath Chapman
Payroll Team

Cath has been a valued member of the Whitesides team for over 7 years, she originally joined us as a Bookkeeper but has since completed her payroll training with the CIPP and is now our payroll guru! 

Outside of work Cath loves spending time with her family, enjoying white French grapes and also collects Paw Patrol merchandise - next time you speak to her ask which is her favourite pup!

Marwa Wehbe
Accounts & Payroll Team

Marwa joined us two years ago as a Payroll & Accounts Assistant, having previously worked as a payroll administrator for few years. Alongside her payroll responsibilities, she also supports the Accounts team with the preparation of property accounts.

Outside of work, Marwa loves spending time with her family and cooking for her two boys. She also has two dogs, who keep her busy with their daily walks. And when she’s not in the kitchen or out walking the dogs, you’ll probably find her in the gym lifting some serious iron. Apparently, spreadsheets and weights are equally satisfying!

Dan Ralston
Tax Team

Dan has been with us 2 year and is currently studying towards his ATT qualification. Dan love self-assessment tax returns.

When he's not knee deep in SA100s Dan likes Morris Dancing (affectionately known in the office as Morris Dan) and he also enjoys football, he's a shark in the office Fantasy League. Unfortunately he is also a Leeds United fan.

Danielle Clarke
Administration Team

Danielle is Adam's right hand woman and is the backbone of the admin team, the office and a true super mum! Somehow, she manages to juggle calls, invoicing and client setups while also looking after her growing family. The whole office relies on her, and she always seems to have the answer to everything.

Her hobbies? Not having time for any! With three (nearly four!) children, she’s got plenty keeping her busy. We honestly don’t know how she does it!

Charlotte MacDonald
Administration Team

Charlotte joined Adam & Danielle in the Admin Team in 2026, having previously worked as a Primary School Teacher and having experience in graphic design Charlotte's skills will be utilised all over the practice. 

In her spare time Charlotte (a true Cornwall girl) enjoys cliff diving, surfing and reading crime fiction, and to settle the never ending debate: Jam first.
