Key Dates for the 2025/26 Tax Year: Stay Ahead of HMRC Deadlines

  • Deadline for P60s to be distributed to employees

July 2025

6 July 2025

  • Deadline for filing forms P11D and P11D(b) for the 2024/25 tax year

  • Class 1A NIC payments for the 2024/25 tax year due

31 July 2025

  • Second payment on account for the 2024/25 tax year due

October 2025

5 October 2025

  • Deadline for notifying HMRC of new sources of taxable income or gains in the 2024/25 tax year if not registered for Self-Assessment

January 2026

31 January 2026

  • Deadline for filing Self-Assessment tax returns online for the 2024/25 tax year

PAYE/NI Payment Deadlines

19th of the Month

  • Monthly PAYE and NIC Payments Due

22nd of the Month

  • If paying by direct debit, electronic payments for PAYE and NIC must clear HMRC’s account

VAT Deadlines

For VAT-registered businesses, deadlines typically fall one month and seven days after the end of your VAT quarter. If you’re using Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT, remember to:
