The Role

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeping specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintain accurate financial records and supporting our clients. There will be an opportunity to expand the role of the bookkeeping team within the practice with the introduction of Making Tax Digital from April 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate financial records using bookkeeping software (mainly Xero and Sage)
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
  • Generate monthly financial reports
  • Prepare VAT and CIS Returns

Requirements

AAT Level 2 or 3 Bookkeeping qualification (or equivalent)

Minimum 2 years’ bookkeeping experience

Proficiency in Xero, Sage or similar accounting software

Knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office applications

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, professional phone manner

Excellent attention to detail

Confident, organised and keen to learn
