Horsforth Accountant supports Small Business Saturday

As the majority of our clients are small businesses, and as a local accountant I am always on the lookout for how I can support businesses in and around Horsforth.  In July 2017 Whitesides joined a growing number of local employers and became Fairtrade, we are the first (and only) Fairtrade accountant in Horsforth.

Small Business Saturday is on 1 December 2018 and I hope as a local employer and business advisor that I can raise the profile of small businesses in our community.  Last year £748 million was spent in small businesses on Small Business Saturday and 87% of local authorities backed the campaign.

Small Business Saturday demonstrates that despite its struggles the British Highstreet is still vibrant and thriving.  Supporting businesses by shopping locally can often mean you get a more personal service and find something truly unique.
