Effective from: 1 October 2026

  1. Who Can Take Part?

  • Existing Whitesides clients aged 18 or over can make referrals (the “Referring Client“).
  • The person or business being referred (the “Referred Client“) must be a new client of Whitesides.
  • The Referred Client must not have been a client of Whitesides within the previous 24 months.
  • The Referred Client must not already be in discussions with Whitesides when they first make contact.
  1. How Referrals Work

To qualify under this scheme:

  • The Referred Client must contact Whitesides directly and mention the Referring Client’s name when making their initial enquiry.
  • The referral must be recorded before the Referred Client signs an engagement letter.
  • The Referred Client must successfully complete all on-boarding, identity verification, anti-money laundering and compliance checks.
  • The Referred Client must become a paying client of Whitesides.
  • The Referred Client must generate at least £295 + VAT in annual recurring fees before any referral credit becomes payable to the Referring Client.

If more than one person claims to have referred the same client, Whitesides will award the referral to the first Referring Client recorded in our systems.

Whitesides’ decision regarding referral eligibility, attribution and qualification is final, except where otherwise required by law.

  1. Referral Credit for the Referring Client

Referring Clients can receive up to £500 in fee credits based on the services taken by the Referred Client.

The Referred Client must:

  • Remain a client for at least 12 consecutive months;
  • Pay all fees due during that period; and
  • Continue to receive the relevant services throughout that period.

Referral Credit Values

Service  Referring Credit (Inc. VAT)
Annual Accounts £125
Bookkeeping £100
Management Accounts £100
Payroll £50
Company Secretarial Services £25
CIS Returns £50
Personal Tax Returns £50
Maximum Available Credit £500

For example, if the Referred Client takes Annual Accounts and Payroll services, the Referring Client could qualify for £175 in fee credits once all qualifying conditions have been met.

No referral credit will be paid if the Referred Client’s annual recurring fees are less than £295 + VAT.

Credits are assessed separately for each service. If a service is cancelled before the qualifying conditions are met, no credit will be payable for that service.

A Referring Client may receive referral credits for a maximum of 10 successful referrals under this scheme.

  1. New Client Welcome Discount

As an added benefit, qualifying Referred Clients can receive a discount on their first Whitesides invoice.

  • Limited Companies: £200 off the first invoice.
  • Personal Clients: £100 off the first invoice.

To qualify, the Referred Client must:

  • Meet the eligibility requirements of this scheme;
  • Complete all on-boarding and compliance checks;
  • Enter into a paid engagement with Whitesides; and
  • Mention the Referring Client’s name when making their initial enquiry.

The welcome discount:

  • Applies to the first invoice only;
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Cannot be transferred to another person or business;
  • Cannot be used alongside any other introductory offer unless Whitesides agrees otherwise; and
  • Is limited to one discount per Referred Client.

If the first invoice is less than the applicable discount, the discount will be limited to the invoice value. Any unused balance will be lost and cannot be carried forward.

  1. Using Referral Credits

Referral credits:

  • Are non-transferable;
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Can only be used against future Whitesides fees;
  • Cannot be used against overdue invoices, outstanding balances, debt recovery costs or previously issued invoices;
  • Cannot be used against government fees, filing fees, disbursements or third-party costs.

If the Referring Client has more than one business or account with Whitesides, they may choose which eligible account receives the credit.

Credits will be applied within 30 days of the qualifying conditions being met.

Unused credits expire 24 months after being applied.

  1. Exclusions

The following do not qualify:

  • Self-referrals.
  • Existing or former Whitesides clients from the previous 24 months.
  • Prospective clients already in discussions with Whitesides.
  • Referrals that Whitesides chooses not to proceed with following on-boarding, compliance or risk assessment checks.
  • Referrals made primarily to abuse or manipulate the scheme.
  • Referrals made by anyone whose employment, professional, regulatory or contractual obligations prevent them from receiving referral incentives.
  • Whitesides employees, directors, partners and their immediate family members.
  • Referrals made alongside another promotion unless expressly stated otherwise.

The Referring Client is responsible for ensuring participation in the scheme does not breach any obligations owed to an employer, regulator, professional body, client or other third party.
